Some information about the history and the birth of the company

Let me briefly introduce myself as president of the company. I am one of the partners in the Lumiere Group - producer, distributor, cinemas, platform, 2D studio and stop-mo since 2003 in Belgium. Within the production company Lunanime, part of the group, we produce fiction and animation, feature films, short films and series. I am the producer of Bloeistraat 11, a short film that won the Annecy Crystal in 2018. We are co-producers on Une Vie de Chat, Phantom Boy, Le Chat qui Pleure, Funan, Josep, Opération Père Noël and currently on Le Parfum d'Irak.

For some time now, I have wanted to set up a new structure in France, LES PRODUCITONS DE MILOU, where I live partially, to produce and co-produce films. Since the beginning of my career as a producer (now almost 30 years), animated films have been very important, so I want to expand my field of action with a search for talent on the French territory and more specifically in the south of France where I believe there are still many opportunities.

The very first project I am co-producing with the new company is my own production Miracle II, by Nienke Deutz. The second movie is Beyond the Purple Mountains by Nina Gantz for which I am also the co-producer in Belgium.
The goal is of course not to stop there, but to work on the long term and to initiate French film projects as well. Open to all suggestions.
Since my studies in animation (I graduated from KASK Ghent in 1992) I have always worked in the cinema field, first as director of the Raoul Servais Fund, then as programmer of the short film program at the Ghent International Film Festival, I ran the first Cartoon Forum bach in 1999 and has always produced since 2008. I did though stopped a couple off years in production to manage Flanders Image and its Media Desk. Being convinced of the European strenght also in co-production I currently am treasurer of the Animation in Europe association and part of the board of Sud Anim.
